There were six impaired charges laid after RIDE checks in North Grenville, according to the OPP.
Police say there were 186 RIDE checks in the Grenville County area. In South Grenville there were no impaired driving charges between December 14th and January first.
The OPP says on December 27th at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon, a 35-year-old from Edwardsburgh Township was stopped at a RIDE check, on County Road 22, north of Cardinal. OPP say the driver was charged with having no vehicle insurance and with the criminal charge of driving a motor vehicle while prohibited. Â Their vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the driver is scheduled to appear at Brockville court on January 24th.
