The community is rallying around a local baby battling cancer. Tessa Hodgson was diagnosed with ATRT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour) – a rare and aggressive form of cancer – last month. The three-month-old underwent a 12-hour surgery on November 6 to remove a brain tumour. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
J-Glow is holding a fitness fundraiser in support of Tessa. The event, featuring glow-in-the-dark zumba and GlowStix drumming, is set for Friday at St. Michael Catholic High School. It starts at 7:00 and wraps up at 9:00pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by clicking here or at the door. Every dollar will go to the family.
Jessica Goodhue, J-Glow CEO/Founder, says she grew up with Tessa’s dad, Rob Hodgson. She says everyone at J-Glow is praying and sending all their love and positive vibes to Tessa.
The goal is to raise $1,000. Crowdfunding is also underway for the family. Click here to visit the GoFundMe page.
