High school classes cancelled today for NGDHS

High School teachers and support workers won’t be in class today. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is going ahead with a one-day strike to put pressure on the province.

The Upper Canada District School Board says classes and transportation for students in kindergarten to grade eight will proceed as normal, even if they’re in grade 7 and 8 at a secondary school.

Classes, planned activities, co-operative education placements, dual-credit programs, and extracurricular activities for students in grades 9 to 12 are all cancelled.

Specialized programs such as ABLE, SDP, Transition or foundation programs got grades 7-12 are also cancelled today

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is NOT impacted by the strike.
