Natalie Templeton wins $2,000 bursary from OFA

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) handed out three bursaries to budding agricultural enthusiasts. Natalie Templeton of Kemptville, Robert Matson of Caledon and Nolan McLarty of West Lorne will each receive $2,000 towards their post-secondary educations.

The bursaries were awarded yesterday, during the OFA’s Annual General Meeting in Hamilton.

Winners were selected based on their volunteer and agricultural industry related accomplishments, interest in agriculture and rural issues, community involvement and academic performance.

Templeton is studying for a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Guelph, specializing in animal science. She plans to pursue a career in agriculture near her family dairy farm in Kemptville.

Templeton’s academic achievements include qualifying for the Dean’s List and being selected for several scholarships based on her marks and extracurricular involvement.
