New clerk resigns

After just five days in the position of Director of Corporate Services/Clerk, Kimberley Casselman has resigned. The Municipality of North Grenville made the announcement this afternoon.

The press release states that Casselman decided to return to her position as Clerk for the Town of Prescott.

Cahl Pominville, long-time North Grenville Clerk, was slated to retire at the end of this month. He has agreed to stay on with the municipality to assist with the transition. This news follows the sudden departure of CAO Brian Carré last week.

According to the press release, a new Deputy Clerk will be in place by early December and Council is considering hiring a Committee Clerk to support the eight newly appointed Advisory Committees.

The additional staffing cost of this new position is not known at this time. More details will be provided as they become available.
