The Municipality of North Grenville has appointed an acting CAO. Council met this morning to discuss the matter.
It was announced last week that former CAO Brian Carré was no longer an employee of the municipality. No reason was provided for his sudden departure, due to the confidential nature of employment agreements.
Karen Dunlop, Director of Public Works, will serve as acting CAO for the next four to six weeks.
Mayor Nancy Peckford says the next step is to hire an external candidate to serve as interim CAO. She noted council hopes to interview candidates later this month. The contract would last approximately three months.
Peckford explained the search for a permanent CAO will begin shortly. She says council is looking for someone with considerable experience who is equipped to deal with a fast-paced, high growth municipality.
