Three local siblings went above and beyond for their school. Heidi, Kinley and Walker Winchester ran a lemonade stand throughout the summer to raise money for a new play structure at Centennial ‘67 in Spencerville. The kids raised $600. The cheque presentation was held this morning.
Walker says since the school helps them, they wanted to help the school. He noted it was a lot of fun running the lemonade stand.
The kids’ mom, Sabrina Winchester, thanked their friends, family and community for supporting the initiative.
The goal is to have funds in place for the play structure by January. Donations towards the cause can be dropped off at the school, located at 7 Henderson Street.
