Kemptville District Hospital educates the public during Diabetes Awareness Month

November is Diabetes Awareness Month and Kemptville District Hospital is placing a special emphasis on the condition with a new program and a special education session. Colleen Cuddy, Manager of Clinical Programs at KDH explains that there is a connection between having diabetes and getting a good night’s sleep.

A respiratory therapist will deliver a special education session on Diabetes and Sleep Apnea on Tuesday, November 18th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at KDH. To register, call 258-6133 and ask for bookings.

Cuddy explains how the program can help.

It’s important to learn how to eat properly when you have diabetes. November 12th, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, Julia Hicks will lead clients on a Grocery Store Tour. Colleen Cuddy explains:
