It’s a dream come true for Wendy Stevenson. The avid reader and professional photographer shot the image used on not one, but two, Stephen King book covers.

Stevenson, who lives in Oxford Station, says she’s loved photography all her life. She explained her dad was a photographer and she grew up with it. Stevenson noted she couldn’t afford a really good camera until not that long ago. She got back into it by competing on photography sites.

Stevenson found out about Arcangel, a company that specializes in creative stock photography, five years ago. She submitted a portfolio and was accepted by the agency.

Stevenson says her images are featured on nearly 100 book covers, including works by John Grisham and James Patterson.

She explained she’s always looking for models and prefers working with local people, ranging in age from five to 30.
