The Skate and Helmet Lending Library got a boost from the Kemptville Youth Centre (KYC) and Jumpstart. The KYC used a portion of its grant from Jumpstart to buy skates for the lending library at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. The program is free for everyone in the community.
“We appreciate the support from Jumpstart and from Frank Hoffman and his staff at Kemptville Canadian Tire for being supportive of this initiative to keep youth healthy and active in our community,” says Barb Tobin, KYC Operations Manager.
She noted the KYC engages youth in making positive life choices in a socially accepting environment to reach their full potential as responsible productive citizens.
“Canadian Tire Kemptville always support children in sports through our Jumpstart Charity program,” explained Hoffman. “We want to make sure that every child gets the opportunity to play any sport, by supporting them financially and/or providing equipment.”
