The quarter-finals are over at the Royal LePage OVCA Women’s Fall Classic at the North Grenville Curling Club in Kemptville .
Lauren Mann defeated the Carleton University ladies skipped by Breanne Meakin by a score of 11-5 but the game was much closer than the score indicated. The game was tied 5-5 going into the seventh end, when Mann made a difficult takeout to score 6.
Thornhills Julie Hastings won easily over Danielle Inglis 8-4. Mississauga’s Cathy Auld beat Nova Scotia’s Theresa Breen 6-4 in an extra end. And Erin Morrissey went down to defeat to Kimberly Mastine 7-5.
The 12:30 semi-finals pit Cathy Auld against Lauren Mann; while Julie Hastings is up against Quebec’s Kimberly Mastine.
