The 8:45 draw at the Royal LePage OVCA Women’s Fall Classic at the North Grenville Curling Club in Kemptville produced some interesting results.
In the A event former North Grenville Curling Club member Lauren Mann defeated the Fall Classic 2013 Champion PEI’s Suzanne Birt 6-5. Quebec’s Kimberly Mastine won 6-5 in a nail biter over Debbie McCormick of the United States. Chrissy Cadorin of London Ontario defeated Newfoundland’s Marie Christianson 4-2, and Ottawa’s Danielle Inglis defeated Erika Brown of the United States 6-3.
Key Games this afternoon will see Ottawa’s Erin Morrissey play the Carleton University Girls skipped by Breanne Meakin at 2:30. At 5:15, Ottawa’s Danielle Inglis will be in tough against Mississauga’s Cathy Auld, while Lauren Mann will face Chrissy Cadorin. The winners of each of these games will be the first three team to make it to Championship Sunday.
The event continues all day with the final draw beginning at 8:00. The event continues on Saturday and on Sunday the Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and the Championship game will be played at 9:00 am 12.30 and 3:30.
