Smile Cookie sales to benefit mental health hub

The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign is back. The initiative launches on Monday and wraps on September 22. Smile Cookies will be sold for $1 and every cent will go to the new Mental Health and Addictions Hub for Children and Youth in North Grenville.

Joanne Mavis, Executive Director of the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation, says it’s exciting to have the support of both local Tim Horton’s this year.

“Mental health services for our children and youth is an urgent need in our community,” she noted. “I encourage everyone to stop by Tim’s next week and purchase a cookie.”

Mike Hancock, Chief Operating Officer of Tim Hortons, says the real magic behind the Smile Cookie campaign is the local impact. He noted guests, restaurant owners and their team members can feel incredibly proud knowing that the money raised during the campaign directly supports communities.
