Live auction to benefit HOL

The House of Lazarus is hosting a live auction. The fundraising event is set for September 13, starting at 5:00pm. People can drop by throughout the day to check out what’s up for grabs. Some of the items include antique furniture, collectibles, vintage clothing and jewelry.

Executive Director Cathy Ashby says the money raised will support programs, such as Operation Backpack, Crockpot Cuisine and Handyman Heroes.

The HOL is still accepting items for the auction. Donations can be dropped off at 2245 Simms Street in Mountain. Peter Ross is volunteering his time to run the auction again this year.

Ashby says everyone is welcome to come out and find something unique. She noted it’s a fun event.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available. The auction brings in around $5,000 annually.

The HOL serves people in North Grenville, South Grenville, North Dundas and South Dundas.
