The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA) is reminding residents and businesses to conserve water.

The minor low water status remains in place for the Rideau Valley Watershed.

The RVCA says temperatures have fallen in recent days and rainfall has increased, but the average 90-day rainfall measured at climate stations remains below 80% of normal for this time of year.

Water levels in lakes and rivers are close to normal for this time of year, according to the RVCA.

Conservation authority staff continue to monitor conditions.
