Neon Night aims to raise $90,000

It’s almost time for Kemptville to get its glow on. The sixth annual Neon Night Fun Run is set for September 21 at Riverside Park. Registration is open and 52 individuals, teams and families have already signed up. Early registration closes September 1.

Organizer Christina Thompson says it’s important to register in advance to guarantee a t-shirt in your size. She says it also helps with planning.

People can register by clicking here. The cost is $40 for adults, $10 for kids or $90 for a family (two adults, three kids). A total of 1,100 people participated last year, raising over $100,000 for childhood cancer research.

Thompson says the goal is $90,000 this year and a lot of local sponsors are back on board. She noted Neon Night has brought in $352,000 over the past five years.

Volunteers are still needed to man barricades on event day. To get involved, contact Thompson directly by emailing [email protected].
