The community charity barbecues in North Grenville continue to raise hundreds of dollars each week.
This year is the 19th annual community charity barbecues. The latest one, sponsored by Hulse, Playfair & McGarry with support from the Grenville County OPP, brought in $851. The total raised from these events is over $3,000 so far this summer. Money has been donated to multiple charities including: Kemptville Youth Centre, the Friends of Ferguson Forest, Easter Seals and North Grenville Community Living.
Next week’s barbecue is sponsored by Lafarge with proceeds going to the Kemptville District Hospital. The barbecues are held every hursday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Municipal Centre’s parking lot.
