The 127th South Mountain Fair is set to take place from August 15th to the 18th.

Director of Marketing for Mountain Township Agricultural Society, Taylor Ace, says this year something new is Friday night entertainment. Some returning favourites include the truck pull which takes place on the 15th, according to Ace.

“On Saturday and Sunday we have all of our agriculture shows, so our beef and dairy shows, and lots of horse shows (and) there’s kids agriculture events too.”

For entertainment, on Friday night James Barker Band is performing. Cory M. Coons will perform after which will be an age of majority show. On Saturday, shows include The Reklaws and Marleen Fawcett and Mountain Breeze. Chris Labelle and Ambush are performing later that night with age of majority shows. The other shows are on Sunday which include: Terry Marcotte/Gail Gavan and Wayne Rostad. Connie Smith will not be performing but now George Canyon is performing on Sunday, set to hit the stage at four that evening.

Fair passes are available at the Scotia Bank in Kemptville and South Mountain, at the gate and online.
