Open house to mark 100+ years of agricultural education at Kemptville Campus

If you’ve ever been interested in taking a step inside Kemptville Campus, this September you’ll have your chance.

An open house will be taking place at the campus on September 28th to celebrate 100 years of education, fitting in with the 100th anniversary of the Grenville County Plowing Match. Campus Communications and Marketing Tom Graham says a lot of people in the community have not really had a chance to be on the campus since the Municipality of North Grenville acquired the campus lands about a year ago.

“Since then, there’s been almost a dozen and a half or two dozen tenants on campus, people who have utilized the space for their organizations including school boards.”

Graham says this open house will give people a chance to tour some of the old buildings. They are also hoping to have some historical displays, possibly some guided tours, a tent with activities and a cake to celebrate.

Graham says the event will most likely run most of the day but the exact timing has not been determined yet.
