Vehicle robbed at South Gower Park during ball game

The OPP is looking into smash and grab incidents. A vehicle was entered while parked at South Gower Park last night. The window was smashed while a ball game was in play. Cash, a wallet and personal identification items were stolen.  

The OPP says this follows two similar incidents. The first one happened on June 30 at a local business on County Road 43. A van’s back window was smashed in the parking lot.

The second occurred on the same day, a short time later, at the Burritts Rapids Lock Station on River Road. Two purses were stolen from the rear of the vehicle.  

The OPP continues to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 613-258-3441.
