Local woman pens children’s book about adoption

Tracy Crawford’s entire world changed on May 30, 2017. The local woman adopted two boys, who were 6 months and 19 months at the time. Crawford penned a book about adoption to make it easier for kids to understand all the unconventional ways families are made. The book is titled ‘Where Do Parents Come From?’ It was illustrated by Mary Moore, from Spencerville.

Crawford says the book covers all the different ways parents can end up in a child’s life.

She is holding a book launch at To Be Continued on July 13, starting at 10:00am. People can pick up a copy by clicking here. The book is also available at To Be Continued and Brewed Awakenings.

Crawford says the book is dedicated to her kids and many other people who made her family happen. She noted it takes a village to raise a child.

Crawford is also doing a contest through Juice FM and the winner will get a signed copy of the book. Stay tuned for more details.
