Leeds Grenville MP Gord Brown urges everyone to plan to participate in Remembrance Day activities in their communities. Brown says the recent and senseless acts of violence in Quebec and Ottawa are a reminder that our Canadian Armed Forces put their lives on the line every day for our safety and freedom. This year marks many important milestones, including the 75th anniversary of Canada’s engagement in the Second World War, and the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. “I encourage everyone in our community to join me in participating in a Remembrance Day ceremony, to honour the fallen, commemorate the brave, and thank all members of the Canadian Armed Forces for their service.”
Lest we forget.
