Kemptville Live Music Festival put forward a request to use more land this year. Organizer Karen Bedard presented to North Grenville Council last night. The festival is held annually on the Kemptville Campus grounds.

Bedard says the ask is for about an acre of additional space, at the back of the site. She noted the land will have to be cleared.

Bedard explained the festival has grown exponentially since it launched in 2015. Over 21,000 people attended last year, up 200% from the first year, which saw 5,000 attendees.

Bedard noted the goal is to continue growing the festival. She says organizers hope to keep Kemptville Live at the campus for the next five years.

The ask was supported by staff. Kemptville Live runs July 18 to 21 this year.
