Salvation Army Thrift Store short on volunteers

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is putting out a call for volunteers. Sales at the store support services and programs locally, including the food bank and sending kids to camp. Between 6 and 7 volunteers are needed daily.

Store Manager Debra Marr says volunteers do a variety of tasks. She noted cashiers and sorters are the two major positions she needs to fill currently.

Volunteers can choose what hours to put in at the store. Marr says it’s very flexible and people can help out for just a few hours, or a whole day, depending on what works for their schedule.

The Thrift Store is located at 8 Asa Street. People interested in helping out can drop by.
