Canadian Tire donates $2,500 to Big Sky Ranch

Big Sky Ranch Animal Sanctuary got a helping hand from Canadian Tire in Kemptville. The local business dropped off a $2,500 cheque today. Owner Frank Hoffman has been supporting the rescue annually for the past 10 years.

Hoffman says he donates to Big Sky Ranch because it’s a no-kill shelter and every animal that ends up there is well taken care of.

Around 120 animals currently call the sanctuary home.

Founder Andy Parent says the money will be put towards facility maintenance and animal feed. He says the sanctuary just welcomed two new horses. Parent says the owner got sick and had to move closer to the city for medical reasons, which is why a place like Big Sky Ranch exists.

The rescue relies on donations from the public to keep its doors open. For more information about Big Sky Ranch, click here.
