Local author urges former patients of TB sanatorium to attend Nov. 1 reunion

Between 1910 and 1970, more than 11,000 tuberculosis patients passed through the Royal Ottawa Sanatorium. Anne Raina, co-author of “Clara’s Rib” says it is important that their stories are not forgotten. Former patients, staff members and their families are invited to a reunion on Saturday, November 1st. To register, go to www.anneraina.ca. Anne Raina is the youngest of ten children and the sister of former Kemptville mayor Ralph Raina. Her father and seven of her siblings contracted TB and spent years in the Sanatorium.
