The RCMP is not sharing too much information in the wake of the shootings at the National War Memorial and Parliament. Parliament Hill was operating at a medium threat level at the time of the shootings. The RCMP says the threat level has been at the medium level for the past number of years. RCMP will not confirm if the shooter was a Canadian citizen or if he was previously known to police. They will not comment if a weapon has been retrieved. The shooter is confirmed dead. No details have been released on the shooters identity.
