The eighth annual Hockey Night in Leeds-Grenville in support of the United Way of Leeds and Grenville gets underway at the Ingredion Center in Cardinal Thursday, October 23. Game time is 7 pm.

Featuring former NHL stars, Members of Parliament, Senators, and local dignitaries, the event has raised close to half-a-million dollars for the charity over the past seven years. MP Gord Brown enjoys taking part in this event every year. This year he is joined on the ice by NHL stars Tony McKegney, Chris Valentine, Shaun Van Allen, Brad Marsh, Rick Smith, Shawn Rivers and Ron Tugnutt.

The United Way supports 28 area agencies, close to 90 programs and last year served one in three residents of Leeds-Grenville.

Tickets are $5 each or $10 per family and complete information is available through the United Way at 613-342-8889.
