Officers find meth, cocaine and gun during traffic stop

Three people are facing charges after a traffic stop on Highway 2 in Augusta Township. The incident happened on Saturday around 2:30am. The OPP says the female driver had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and a male passenger breached his recognizance.  

A 20-year-old Augusta woman was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and cocaine), unauthorized possession of a firearm and failure to attend court.

A 24-year-old Augusta man was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and cocaine), being an occupant of a vehicle knowing there was a firearm and three counts of failure to comply with recognizance.

A 25-year-old Ottawa man was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and cocaine) and being an occupant of a vehicle knowing there was a firearm.

The Ottawa man was released on a promise to appear at Brockville Court on March 9. The other two were held for a bail court hearing.
