Record breaking temperatures bring bumper crop of ladybugs

That was a nice little heatwave we had yesterday, and it broke a local record of 26 degrees – the hottest October 14 on record for Kemptville. The heat, combined with the harvest of local soybeans has brought out a bumper crop of Asian ladybugs – the biting kind. We’re back to seasonal temperatures by the weekend.
