38-year-old Bhupinderpal Gill has been formally charged with 1st degree murder in the premeditated killing of his wife, Jagtar. Ottawa Police charged the man’s close friend and coworker, 34-year-old Gurpreet Ronald, with first degree murder of Mrs. Gill last week. The new charge comes after the discovery of a blood-stained metal bar in Barrhaven on Friday. Police believe the bar was used to strike Mrs. Gill before she was stabbed to death in her living room in January.
