Last month, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit with the assistance of the Air Support Unit and the Marine, Dive and Trails Team, conducted a two day outdoor marijuana eradication project. As a result of the investigation, two large scale marijuana crops were located and seized by police in the rural west end of the city.
A total of 1,200 marijuana plants weighing 450 kgs were seized with an estimated street value in excess of $1.2 million dollars. No suspects have been identified at this time.
