North Grenville District High School ran a food drive in support of the House of Lazarus. A total of 1,690 items were collected. The food drive ran for two weeks and one day. It wrapped up yesterday.
Student Activity Council (SAC) member Sarah Walsh says the school runs a food drive every year. She’s says it’s for a great cause and the whole school gets behind it because the students are competitive.
The class that brought in the most items won a pizza party.
Walsh says SAC is grateful to all the people who brought in cans. She says the final amount was amazing.
Students in grades seven to 12 participated.
