Time to Fill-a-Bag in support of Salvation Army Food Bank

The North Grenville Community Church is getting ready for the 10th annual Fill-a-Bag program. Volunteers will be dropping off brown paper bags with instructions and a list of needed items to every house in North Grenville.

Bags will be dropped off on November 25 and picked up on December 2. All donations will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Pastor Thomas Eng says the food goes out to people in the community who have to choose between feeding their family or paying bills. He says the local food bank helps alleviate that pressure.

After all the bags are collected, the food will be brought to Christmas Central at the former Giant Tiger and sorted for the food bank. There are currently 30 teams helping out with the program this year.

Pastor Eng says the church is grateful for the people who have already signed up to help.
