The St. Michael Mustangs played host to TISS in Senior Girls Basketball action yesterday. St. Mike’s started off slow but then the Mustangs roared back with a 21 to 0 point run that finally put the home team ahead finishing 43-40 for St Mike’s. Michelle Wilson led the scoring with 14 points, followed by Sarah Benoit with 13. Brittany Ballantyne provided superb defensive play. The Junior Girls also put up a great fight against TISS but eventually fell too far behind, losing 55 to 18. Lauren Bellefontaine introduced herself to the league with a 10 point performance. Megan O’Connell chipped in 6 points. The girls basketball teams are off to Gananoque today.
