100 Kids Who Care North Grenville hosting first meeting next week

The newly formed 100 Kids Who Care North Grenville is gearing up for its first meeting. The event is set for Thursday night from 6:30 to 7:30pm. It is being held at North Grenville District High School.

Member Oscar Roberts says the group is a way to raise dollars for local charities by bringing kids together three times a year. He says each member will bring $10 of their own money.

The goal is to raise $1,000 at their first meeting. There are currently between 80 and 90 local kids interested in the event.

Member Kira Schiissler says kids are raising money through Kidtastic, which is separate from 100 Kids but also brings in dollars. She says doing chores is another way to earn $10.

The group is open to anyone between the ages of 6 and 16. There will be three presentations at the first meeting and then the kids will vote on which charity to support. For more details, check out the 100 kids North Grenville Facebook page.
