Neon Night sees over 630 participants raise $42k for children's cancers

They came, they ran, they glowed. Over 630 participants took part in the first annual Neon Night for Children’s Cancer in Old Town Kemptville. Teams from local businesses, schools and organizations stepped up, faces and outfits glowing in the dark, to walk or run the 2 or 5k routes for charity. Organizer Brenda Burich said as it was the first year for the local event, her team was a little concerned about the $30,000 fundraising goal. On Saturday Burich announced they had surpassed their goal, with over $42,000 raised. Participants partied to live music in Riverside Park after the event.
