Neon Night aims to raise over $85,000 this year

The Neon Night Fun Run in Kemptville has brought in over $250,000 for childhood cancer research since 2013. The goal for this year’s event, set for September 22, is $85,000. Registration is open for Neon Night, which is held at Riverside Park. Organizer Brenda Burich presented to North Grenville Council last night. She says cancer is something everyone can relate to.

The Neon Night pre-party starts at 5:30pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 7:00pm. The 2 and 5 kilometer fun runs, open to all ages and abilities, kicks off at 7:30pm. Burich says research dollars make a huge difference.

Council voted in favour of proclaiming September Childhood Cancer Awareness month. For more details or to register for Neon Night, click here.
