Health Unit Urges Caution When Interacting With Other People's Pets and Wildlife

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit would like to remind everyone to be cautious when interacting with other people’s pets and with wildlife. Animals may bite or scratch while being protective of their owners, new litters of young or their food. Never leave a small child alone with an animal. Enjoy wildlife from a distance. Do not feed wild animals and if you are bitten, contact your doctor immediately and report the incident to the Health Unit. For more information on animal bites, http://www.healthunit.org.
