Ottawa woman sought in abduction of 17-month-old son arrested Sep. 22

Ottawa Police report that Catherine Agulu-kic Otim was released Monday night in Ottawa. The woman had been wanted for the abduction of her 17-month-old son. The boy was returned to his father, and Ms. Otim appeared in court Tuesday morning. Ottawa Police are grateful to the media and public for their assistance in this matter.

Ottawa Police are searching for a woman wanted in the abduction of her son. The father of the 17 month old boy contacted police when he was not able to exercise his visitations rights on August 30th.

Police made several attempts to contact the mother and have yet to locate her and the abducted child. There are no immediate concerns for the child’s safety at this time.

Twenty-eight-year-old Catherine AGULU-KIC OTIM of Ottawa is described as a Black female, 5’5″, 119 lbs.
