BMO pledges $7,500 to WDMH for new echocardiogram

The Bank of Montreal (BMO) is giving the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation some dollars. The organization pledged $7,500 to the General Equipment Fund for the hospital. The first installment of $2,500 has already been delivered.

The money will be used to buy a new echocardiogram machine. Cardiac Sonographer Kim Fetch says the new machine will take clearer pictures and allow the hospital to offer stress echocardiograms and contrast echocardiograms, which wasn’t possible before.

BMO Regional Vice President Teresa Pagnotta says the organization understands the importance of community support when it comes to hospitals.

The Foundation’s Managing Director Kristen Casselman says over 1,000 echocardiograms are performed at WDMH each year and now the cardio team will be able to do even more.
