41-year-old Tanya Smith of North Dundas is facing assault charges after an incident in Chesterville. Just after 9pm on Monday, September 15th, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP officers were called to a disturbance at a business on Victoria Street. A female patron was being aggressive, she assaulted an employee with a pool cue and caused damage to the premises. Smith is charged with Mischief, Theft, Assault with a Weapon and 3 counts of Failure to Comply with Recognizance. She was breaking conditions from a previous incident. Smith was held in custody until a Cornwall court appearance on Tuesday.
