Local St. Michael’s High School student Annie Underhill was chosen as the CHEO Champion Child to represent the CHEO Foundation and the Children’s Micracle Network over the next year. The Champions program honours remarkable children who have triumphed despite medical challenges through courage and perseverance and become ambassadors for the 2.6 million youth treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across Canada. Underhill will travel to Toronto in November and meet 11 other Champions. They will then travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando to meet Champions from the United States. She will then represent CHEO at various special events in the region.
