Time to dust off the old hiking boots. The annual Hike for Hospice is set for May 27 and online registration is now open. The event kicks off at 11:00am at the Ferguson Forest Centre. Executive Director Debbie Watt says dogs are welcome.
The hike brought in about $7,000 last year for the Beth Donovan Hospice. Registration is free for kids age 12 and younger. Watt says the fee is waived depending on pledge amounts.
A barbecue put on by the Masons will follow the hike. The money will go towards hospice programming, such as grief counselling. You can register for the hike online by clicking here. Same day registration opens at 10:30am. For more details, visit bethdonovanhospice.ca.
