Southgate Community Church is getting ready for its annual Touch-a-Truck event. Admission is free and everyone in the community is welcome. The event is this Saturday beginning at 8:00am. A variety of large trucks will be on site for kids and adults alike to check out. Pastor Ben Lasts says first responders are bringing vehicles.
There will also be a yard sale and barbecue. All proceeds from the sale will go towards sending kids to camp. Southgate sends about 100 local kids to camp each summer. Last says there are great deals to be found.
The event wraps up around 12 noon. Anything left over from the yard sale will be given away for free.
