The Lanark County Economic Development Committee has voted to give a one-time grant of $10,000 to the Two Rivers Food Hub. The non-profit local food centre will be located in the former Rideau Regional Centre, now known as the Gallipeau Centre, in Smiths Falls. North Grenville Municipal Council is also looking at providing financial support to the food hub. The Two Rivers Food Hub has already raised $115,000 in funds from local municipalities. Many area restaurants have expressed their support for the food hub.
