The Burritts Rapids Swing Bridge repairs will not impact boaters along the Rideau Canal.
Parks Canada sent out an update about the project on Wednesday. Darryl Whitehead, external relations manager, says the contractor will keep watch for boaters.
The project is still on track to be finished this spring. Parks Canada doesn’t have a precise date for when the bridge will reopen. Whitehead says residents are getting regular updates about the project.
