The Principal at Nationview Public School has updated Board of Trustees for the Upper Canada District School Board on student learning and wellness.
Principle Karen Bryan told the board they were boosting learning in both math and literacy, while enhancing the wellness of all their students. Bryan says their teachers are using strategies called “high yield” or “high impact” to improve student’s writing skills and that the school is also to improving general student wellness through unique recess activities, like cross-country skiing.
Students have had the chance to take part in the Roots of Empathy and Zones of Regulation programs.
