Police have pressed charges following a break and enter in Montague Township.
According to the Lanark OPP their officers responded to a residence on Second Street after reports of a break and enter on Sunday morning. The officer’s investigation revealed that a male suspect had entered the home and attacked a male victim. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Lanark OPP says they located the accused and the 22-year-old man from Smiths Falls is now facing four charges including assault and assault with a weapon. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
