Dundas Manor has a new Director of Care after a chance meeting at a leadership course.
The long-term care home is welcoming Ursula Lamoureux to their team. Lamoureux says after meeting Jennifer Hill and Kerrie Charlebois she was intrigued by the passion they had when talking about the manor’s residents. According to Dundas Manor their new director has a history of caring for the elderly, along with a certificate in gerontological nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association. Her most recent position was with Perly and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, where she was responsible for 160 residents.
Administrator Susan Poirier says they are thrilled to welcome Ursula to the manor, and also called her a professional leader who is dedicated to quality. Lamoureux says her first job is getting to know the residents and their families because she wants them to attach a face to her name.
